On 11 January, an additional move was recorded in the automotive market of Pakistan with the official introduction of Jaecoo J5, a compact hybrid SUV, which promises to offer modern styling, advanced features, and fuel efficiency. 

Jaecoo, a high end off road inspired sub brand of the Chery Group in China, has made its way to Pakistan as it tries to capture the market of the buyers who desire an advanced technological but practical SUV.

Pricing and Variants

The Jaecoo J5 has been launched in two versions with both having the brand Super Hybrid System (SHS). Jaecoo J5 SHS HEV Comfort costs just above 6,699,000, with a relatively more computerized Jaecoo J5 SHS HEV Premium priced at around 7,699,000. These prices make J5 competitive in the rising hybrid SUV market in Pakistan.

Exterior Design and Interior Comfort

As far as design is concerned, the Jaecoo J5 has a bold and muscular aesthetic with a wide grille in the front, sharp LED headlights with a boxy SUV body that provides it with a good presence on the road. 

The cabin is comfortable and technologically oriented and features a large touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, high-quality upholstery, and passenger space. The Premium version also adds to the experience more convenience and safety options.

Hybrid Powertrain and Performance

The Super Hybrid System under the hood is a combination of an electric motor and a petrol engine to provide improved fuel economy and less emission, thus, it can be used in the city and in the course of a long trip. 

The hybrid design is also associated with easy acceleration and a luxurious driving experience, which becomes more appreciated by Pakistani customers with the growth in fuel prices.
