Motorbikes Banned in Lahore for 3 Days Amid Basant Celebrations
LAHORE: The Punjab government has declared a three day ban on motorbikes in Lahore amid the Basant celebration, returning this year from February 6 to 8, 2026, to ensure open security amid kite flying celebrations.
Motorcycles will not be permitted on major streets to prevent accidents caused by sharp kite strings. Authorities have also introduced safety measures counting regulated kite deals and free open transport to reduce bike use during the festival.
