Petrol Prices Drop in Pakistan from January 1, 2026 | Latest Update

Islamabad, Motorists across Pakistan are set to get a welcome at the beginning of the Modern Year as petrol costs are expected to drop essentially from January 1, 2026, according to official sources. The federal government is considering a proposal to reduce the cost of petrol by up to Rs 10.60 per liter for the next fortnight, reflecting a decrease in universal crude oil costs.

Under the plan, high-speed diesel (HSD) may be cut by around Rs 8.59 per liter, kerosene oil by Rs 8.92, and light diesel oil (LDO) by Rs 6.62 per liter, offering wide relief to buyers and businesses alike.

If approved, the petrol cost seems to fall from about Rs 263.45 to Rs 252.85 per liter, with last figures to be confirmed following government survey and official notice. The proposed reductions are a portion of routine fortnightly pricing adjustments by specialists to align domestic fuel costs with global advertising trends.
